TurboSmart OPR V2 Turbo Oil Pressure Regulator

NEW from Turbosmart – the V2 OPR is a returnless Oil Pressure Regulator that maintains a static 40PSI of regulated oil pressure to feed the turbo in the optimal range. 40 PSI is considered the sweet spot for most aftermarket turbochargers and good oil supply is the most critical element in turbocharger health. But what’s less known is that excessive and high oil pressure acts like a brake on the turbo shaft; too much oil pressure actually slows your turbo down!
Turbochargers have a window of ideal oil pressure, generally 18-45psi is best for ball bearing turbos. However, engine oil pumps generally increase pressure as engine RPMs increase. This is exaggerated on modified race engines where high oil pressures are desired for other engine areas, like crankshafts and camshafts. Many modern ball bearing turbos have an integrated oil restrictor in the bearing housing so an external orifice SHOULD NOT BE ADDED.
